The proposal aims to debate the urban role such a large and central area could play in the architecture of Vienna itself. A new building, rational in its controlled seriality, attempts all the same to provide complex answers to formal and geometrical issues affecting the urban fabric. Within it, a radical compenetration of living/working activities is envisaged: starting from the premise that our approach to these two fundamental spheres of the life is currently undergoing an impressive process of transformation, it proposes a dimension where these two activities are finally interlocked. By the means of this new living/working dimension, the factory aspires to push a more communitarian way of existing and producing.
